Chemical Peeling Treatment in Jaipur

Close-up of a chemical peel skincare treatment being applied

A chemical peel uses a controlled chemical solution to gently remove the outer layers of skin, revealing smoother, brighter, more even-toned skin underneath.

Also known as chemexfoliation or dermapeeling, the treatment works by causing a mild, controlled injury to the skin's surface layers. As they peel away, the new skin that emerges is typically smoother, has fewer fine lines, and shows a more even complexion. At Derma Solutions, Dr. Mamta Vijay selects the peel strength and chemical that best matches your skin type and concern.

What Does a Chemical Peel Treat?

Chemical peels are most commonly performed on the face, neck or hands, and can help reduce or improve:

Fine Lines & Wrinkles
Certain Types of Acne
Mild Scarring
Sun Spots & Freckles
Dull, Rough Complexion
Melasma & Dark Patches

The right peel depends entirely on your skin type and concern — a proper consultation before treatment is what keeps results safe and predictable.

Types of Chemical Peels

Peels are grouped by how deep the chemical penetrates the skin. Dr. Mamta Vijay recommends the depth that matches your goals and downtime comfort:

1

Superficial (Light) Peels

Also called "lunchtime peels" — mild acids like glycolic or lactic acid gently exfoliate the outermost layer, with little to no downtime.

2

Medium Peels

Reach deeper into the dermal layers to treat acne scars, pigmentation, and finer wrinkles — typically using agents like TCA.

3

Deep Peels

The most intensive option, used for significant sun damage and deeper wrinkles — requires longer recovery and closer supervision.

4

Custom Combination Peels

Some concerns respond best to a tailored blend of peeling agents, adjusted over a course of sessions.

How Is It Performed?

A chemical peel is done as an outpatient procedure at the clinic. Your skin is first thoroughly cleansed to remove excess oils, and your eyes and hair are protected. A chemical solution — commonly glycolic acid, trichloroacetic acid (TCA), salicylic acid, lactic acid or phenol — is then applied to the skin. Each causes a controlled injury at a specific depth, which later peels away to reveal a fresh, renewed layer beneath.
